Often, archive boxes aren’t really fit for purpose, especially if they’re filled to the brim with heavy paper files.

The handles can break when they’re lifted or the contents can be squashed during transit, putting your precious documents at risk.

Here at Doxbond, we can supply a variety of document storage boxes and containers that are perfect for storing or archiving documents.

 

This isn’t to say that we won’t accept other boxes, but ours are much stronger compared to other alternatives.

Our most popular box is the DB2 which have dimensions of 43cmx35cmx26cm

When choosing document storage boxes, the main thing to consider is, of course, how many documents you’ll be putting in the boxes.

If you have multiple filing cabinets worth of paper documents and lever arch files, it’s probably best to opt for one of our larger boxes to make sure you have enough space for everything.

Most of our customers find that our medium DB2 storage boxes are enough to accommodate all of their documents, but we do have a larger size available if you think you need more space.

However, if you’re just doing a quick office clean up, and only have a couple of drawers to sort out, one of our smaller boxes, such as the DB1 standard, will be more than ideal.

Packing up document storage boxes isn’t as easy as just tossing everything in, and there should be some method to your madness.

When placing standard, A4-sized paper documents into your storage box, make sure to put them facing sideways so they can be retrieved easily.

You should also leave at least two inches of space from the side of the box again so that they can be unpacked easily.

Papers should be packed into your boxes neatly, and you should only have one layer of files. If you have room left once you’ve packed all of your documents inside, you should use a spacer (either bubble wrap or crumpled newspaper) to prevent them from moving around and getting damaged during transport.

Once you’ve filled your boxes, you can either find a safe place for them around the office or at home, or you can send them to our secure document storage facility.

All the boxes that come into our warehouse will be assigned a unique shelf position, and labelled with a bar code, your unique customer number and box number.

The price you’ll pay for document storage boxes depends on the quantity and sizes you need. Of course, the larger the box, the more you’ll pay, and we charge individually for each box so be sure to keep this in mind when working out your budget.
